We are so excited to be leaving on our trip in two days! The process of getting ready has been a wonderful goal to work on during the long, cold weeks since the holidays. Greg did a lot of work on the motor home in the fall, but he has had other projects to keep him busy this winter.
The first project was building a shelf that we could hang in the motor home to accommodate a 6 year old Mac computer that we have. He then spent many hours upgrading software, hooking up an old web cam camera, etc. With our boys all over, we want to be able to Skype them while we're away.
The other project that has kept my "favorite engineer" busy this winter is designing and building a small bike trailer that we can haul groceries in. Once we get to the campground in the Keys, we want to be able to travel by bike including going to the grocery store. Here are some photos of Greg designing and building the trailer. As you can see, the trailer folds down very small so it can be stored in our trailer.
